I usually prefer going on Google Adwords and look up keywords there. The trick is to find related keywords to your niche that has the least competition with the highest search rate. Once you have this handled, everything else that comes to SEO is secondary.

This should be the first question everyone should ask themselves before they start any venture. If your heart isn't in it then you will surely fail. Many people start projects without knowing why they are getting into it. Probably they were influenced by friends or family and it wasn't their choice to begin with. If it's something that YOU want to do then success should come easy.

Well, success never comes easy. There are setbacks, cutbacks and obstacles in your path. But all that is just life testing you to see if the goal is what you really want to achieve. If it's not for you then you will give up at the first sight of defeat. Know what it is that drives you. What are you most passionate about? Make a list of all your favorite hobbies and activities and start from there. Once you find something that clicks, picture yourself being already successful at it.

A lot of people are afraid of success. They feel that they aren't worthy of their heart's desire for some reason. There's nothing wrong with being humble but in order to be a big shot you have to think like one. Just don't step on anyone else's toes on your way up because they are the same people you're going to face on your way back down. Nobody made it to the top all on their own.

It's Not About The Money

We are living in a world where many people are trapped in the rat race dealing with the hustle and bustle. We have to work, work, work just to barely get by. In this process, some people become selfist and greedy and will do anything just to get a buck. But life isn't supposed to be about just making money. Life is supposed to be a precious experience. I don't know about your beliefs but I believe that we only get one life and when you're gone, that's it. It would suck that the only thing you did in your life was working for the dollar.

To me, life isn't about making money. Yes, money is a necessity in life and we all need it to survive. Food, clothing and shelter are your three basic needs. But to be honest, I don't care about money. I'd rather spend time with the people I love than to worry about how I'm going to pay the bills. I feel like I have more money than I really need and with this attitude, money just comes to me. And the money that comes my way, some of it I just give away. When I do this, more and more money just comes to me. It's like I'm a money magnet.

When you feel like you don't need it, it will come to you. If you feel like you need it, it will avoid you. It's one of the laws of attraction. It's not about the money. It's about helping others succeed. When you help others succeed, you succeed.

Is Internet Marketing Fun?

When people ask me what I do for a living I tell them that I'm an internet marketer. Most people would reply with a "Wow! That's cool." But in reality, they don't know what it all entails. I personally like what I do because I like to work alone and I have autonomy. There are pros and cons to everything in life and internet marketing is no exception.

So is internet marketing fun? To me it's work. But it's work that I enjoy doing. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's fun. I had some fun jobs in my life. Internet marketing however is more like a journey and some days the work involved can be a bit tedious. I guess when you start making money with it, then it be fun. But to me it's all about making something actually happen. The moment when you find something that works is when you feel you've accomplished something. In that case I would say that internet marketing is fun. But on the other hand, it's all how you look at it. For some people it's not so fun. Wasting money and time on products that don't bring results is not fun at all. But you can't win all the time. You have to lose in order to win. Learn from your mistakes and keep trying at it and you'll end up with a winner.

I honestly don't have any idea why but Facebook is a whole lot easier and faster to get your website ranked high in the top search engines. For a regular website, it would take quite some time to get indexed and ranked, depending on your backlinks, content, quality and niche. But using Facebook as your platform can not only bring tons of visitors to your website but help your website get ranked.

If you have a lot of likes and followers, your Facebook page will show up in the search engines for the keywords you are using to optimize it. Since everyone is on Facebook these days, more than likely they will click on a Facebook page that has a product or a service they are looking for by using certain keywords to search it. Create a Facebook fan page for your product, gain a lot of likes and followers and your page will be on the first page of the search engines. The best way to make money online is to have money coming in automatically. Passive income is surely the best income. But the only way for that to happen is to constantly and regularly add content for your followers, fans and readers. Whether you have social networks or a blog, the key is to write as much articles as you can and post to your social networks often.

The more you do this, overtime your followers increase and so does your customers. Some days I don't even do any work and I still get customers. Just this past Labor Day weekend, I did nothing. I took the whole weekend off including the following holiday and I had customers. I wake up in the morning and have new subscribers and sales and I didn't even do anything. Well, I DID do something but it was a lot of work and effort I did weeks prior. Everything just comes automatically. Do It Even When You Don't Feel Like It

We live in a world where people make decisions based on their moods and emotions. People only do things because they just feel like it. When they don't feel like it, they don't do it. But that kind of mentality can hurt your business in the long run. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, even when you don't feel like doing it.

The number one factor of success is persistence. You have to get in the habit of doing whatever it is your doing to get to the top and you have to do it on a regular basis. The more you do it, the more you form the habit of doing it. Sometimes I don't even feel like posting a new article on my blog or tweeting or posting to Facebook. But I do it anyway because time is precious and I don't want to waste it. Besides, you never know who is reading what and I could lose out on another customer if I don't take action.

The most successful people in the world doesn't make decisions based on their emotions and moods. They work on their projects persistently and they work even when they don't feel like working. We all wish for a life where we can just sit on the couch and watch TV all day and just have boatloads of money come to you. But in the real world, you have to take action and you have to do it constantly.

I remember a very long time ago when the blog was born, it was created for a way for people to express ideas, exchange information, form opinions about current events and for others, to keep a journal. Out of all the money I make, some goes to necessities, some goes to charity, some goes to fun and entertainment and the rest I invest back into my business. I don't think that it takes money to make money because I have made money out of nothing. But the money I do make I like to put some of it back into whatever project that has made me money. If it works then why not spend it on making it work bigger and better?

This method is highly effective because not only you're not losing any money in the process but you always have money coming in. The more you put into it, the more comes out. How To Deal With Negative People

There are always going to be people that talk down on others just so they can feel better about themselves. People that do that are really empty inside and in fact hate themselves. If you are working towards some goal, especially a big one, there are going to be naysayers and doubters. But they are there for a good reason. Without them, you wouldn't have anyone to prove wrong.

The best way to deal with such people is to stay positive and stay focused. Look ahead and don't look back. There is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The negative people in your path are just there to keep you from getting that gold because deep down in their mind, they know you deserve it. Like they say, flies pick at the best fruit and if you didn't have any criticism, especially negative criticism, how would you know if you're on the right track?

Whatever you do, don't let negative people get under your skin. Just know that you have something good coming your way. Nothing good ever comes to negative people so of course they are going to be jealous of you. You are running a race and it's important that you keep your eyes on the finish line. You are a winner and winners win, even when they lose. But negative people lose all the time. Stay away from them. Avoid them and surround yourself with positive people.

What Inspires You?

Lets face it. We all need inspiration. There's always a time when someone comes along with an idea and they make that idea into a reality. It's events like these that motivate us to go after our dreams because if they can make it then so can we.

When I started out internet marketing, I didn't look up to other internet marketers at first. My idols were people who were successful in other fields. When I made my first sale, I knew I was on to something. That's when I started looking up to other marketers. Some of the top affiliates and program creators gave me inspiration to keep going even though I wasn't making that much money.

So ask yourself. Who do you look up to? Who or what inspires you? Who would you want to be like? It doesn't have to be an internet marketer. It could be anyone that's successful at what they are doing. Go ahead and pick up some books about these people and read their story on how they got to the top. I'm pretty sure they all had some trials and tribulations they went through. But nothing is easy, and who wants nothing?

Market Like A Rock Star

When I was young I wanted to be like Axl Rose. Guns-N-Roses were one of my favorite bands back then. I would play the song "Welcome To The Jungle" and stand on my bed while looking at the mirror doing the Axl Rose snake dance. It's funny that I'm now thinking of it. Too bad I didn't turn out living my rock star dream but over the years I realized that I can be a rock star at whatever I do in life.

Internet marketing is my passion and I do it not for the fame or money but for the recognition. Everybody wants to be recognized for whatever they are doing. Social media has helped people a lot with that department. With platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, almost anyone can get recognized if they put the effort in it. And if someone gets many views, likes and followers, your product or service gets more attention.

That's what it's really all about. Getting the person's attention. Develop a certain look or personality and people will no doubt take notice to what you have to offer. If your credentials are good then your product must be good too. I recommend you to read the book "How To Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. It will show you how you can have rock star status by getting people to like you. The more people like you, the more popular you get. People are going to spread the word somehow so you must get out there and show what you got.

Why Internet Marketing?

Many people start internet marketing for various reasons. Some want a way to make a decent income that's easy. Some are willing to quit their job. Some just want to do it out of freedom. Whatever your reason is, you must consider it before taking action. If you really knew why you want to be an internet marketer then nothing would stop you from being exactly that.

The reason I got into this was to be successful. I don't know how you may define success but money is only a part of it. I knew there were others doing this and were making a good living at it. I wanted to be just like them. Plus it was something brand new to me and I wanted to conquer it. I also wanted to do it so I can have passive income. Passive income is money that's coming in automatically without having to work so hard. I work diligently but I really don't call it work because I actually like doing this. It beats being at a job I don't even like and working hard for the same amount every week or so. With passive income, there really is no "same amount".

So ask yourself. Why do you want to start internet marketing? If you don't have an answer to that then I suggest you think about it before doing it. This doesn't just applies to internet marketing but anything you begin to do. You might start a venture and realize that it's not for you and that's fine. But if it is for you then you will succeed because you'll stick with it.

Keywords and SEO

One of the best and most effective ways to get a lot of free traffic is applying SEO. SEO is search engine optimization. When someone goes on a search engine such as Google, Bing and Yahoo to look for something, there are websites on that page that they can click on. Rarely anyone looks on page 2 so it's very important to have your website on the first page. You also want your website at the top of the page as well.

The way to make this happen is the use of certain keywords. You can go on https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner to pick keywords you want to use for your website. The trick is to use keywords with the least competition with the highest search rate. When you implement the keywords to your site, try not to overuse them. That's called "keyword stuffing" and can get your website penalized.

Also use keywords in your domain name as well. Say you have a website about fishing. You may want to add the word "fishing" in your domain. It'll help you get ranked high if you use keywords in a domain. You can also use keywords for your Facebook page url, twitter user name, blog url and any other social network that you may be using.

In order for people to find your website, keywords are definitely the way to go.

My Thoughts On Having A Mentor

A lot of people get into internet marketing and don't have the slightest clue on how to actually get started. They wonder how all the top marketers are making all that money and they want to know how to get in contact with one of them so they can be a pupil or some student. But then they wonder how they are going to come up with the money to pay such a teacher to share with them all their secrets to success. But do they really need a mentor?

The best and most simple way to be successful is to see what other successful people are doing and just copy them. And when I say "copy" I don't mean plagiarism. I mean the very act of modeling of what they do. When I first started internet marketing, I too didn't have a clue on how to get started and what to do and so on. I was lost just like most beginners. I was a new jack looking for a Scooby snack. But the problem was that I didn't know exactly how to get it. I took a lot of chances and lost. Then I started to think that I needed someone to teach me how to get it done. And then I realized that I didn't need anyone to teach me anything. I just did my research and found out who the big dogs were and pretty much started to do everything that they were doing.

I'm not saying that having a mentor is useless. But mentors don't come cheap. You'd be lucky enough to find someone willing to show you how to make money online for free (like me for example). The quickest way to the top is to look at those who are already there and just follow their footsteps.

Have Patience

With the new explosion of social media, the world is now used to having everything, especially information at an instant. We want everything fast because we are now used to it. This is probably one of the most important factors why people give up on internet marketing because they don't see the results they would like to see right away.

When I first started internet marketing I think it took me about a year or two before I made an income. During those times of not making money, I was learning everything on my own and making mistakes here and there. Even though I didn't make any money at that time, I kept on working at it because I knew there was potential in my business. I wasn't one of those people that just gave up because I didn't see any sales yet. But once the sales came in, they never stopped. So I'm glad that I didn't quit.

Everything in this world has some type of time period. It takes 24 hours for the Earth to spin one rotation. It takes the Earth 365 days to orbit the sun. It takes 9 months for a baby to be born and it takes about a minute to order and receive a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Everything has a time period. There are no such thing as "get-rich-quick" programs. Believe me. In the beginning, I have looked and looked and pretty much fell for all of them. They simply just don't exist.

Being Unique Is A Good Thing

In the world of internet marketing, everyone is faced with so much competition. There is competition everywhere. Everybody has a website, blog and a Facebook page and they are all going after the same thing: business. There is so much information out there that it is near impossible to pick one good thing out of many. How would you know which one is the right one? I guess the one that catches your eye. The one that was somehow different from all the rest.

When you have a product or service to promote, the first thing you want to ask yourself is would YOU get it yourself. There has to be hundreds of other websites promoting the same thing. Why is your product or service better than all the rest? Or should I ask why is your product DIFFERENT from all the rest? To be successful in life, you need to have people pay attention to you and the best way to accomplish this is to stand out from the crowd.

Everyone has already heard it all before. Everyone has already seen it before. You need to add something different and something new to the old. There is nothing really new. Just wrapped in new packaging. What you need is new packaging that's presentable as something new. Do something that nobody else is doing and people will take notice. You don't want to be the same as everyone else. You are unique and being unique is a good thing.

Confidence Is Everything

There is an old saying that if you either believe that you can or can't, you are absolutely right. I am not here to convince you that you can do it, as in achieve success. If you honestly believe that you can't succeed in life then most likely you won't succeed. You can have all the inspiration and motivation in the world but it all comes down to you and your beliefs.

Everyone that has made a success out of themselves all had one thing in common; they all had CONFIDENCE. They believed in themselves and they had no doubt in their mind that they were going to make it. Not only they said to themselves, I can do it, they also said I WILL DO IT! And they stopped at nothing to get to the top because they KNEW they were going to achieve their goal no matter how many setbacks, drawbacks and obstacles that were put in their way.

If you think highly of yourself, there's a big chance that other people will think highly of you too. I'm not suggesting for you to be conceited or arrogant. Arrogance is a huge turn off. People who are arrogant most likely lack confidence. They are just so full of themselves but can't come up with the goods. What I'm getting at is knowing yourself and your capabilities. Knowing that you have achieved goals in the past and that you can do it again. It's all about believing in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself then who is going to believe in you? Confidence can open a lot of doors and people will more than likely give a helping hand at whatever you are trying to accomplish. People are attracted to winners and not losers. Nobody wants to lose. If you have that winning attitude then surely you will win.

How To Make The Most Of Twitter

Twitter is now the second biggest social network in the world right behind Facebook. With over 200 million users and growing, you'd be a fool to not have a twitter account as part of your marketing plan. I'm going to share some valid information on how you can make the most out of Twitter and offer some tips and valuable advice to get people clicking on your website.

1. You should have only one link to your website on your profile and not tweet and retweet your links. If people want to know what you are about, they would click on your link based on your tweets.

2. Don't tweet promotional offers. You don't want to come across as some spammer. If you should then do it with limitations.

3. Promote your Facebook page. This is extremely important. Social media is viral media. The more networks you have that are connected, the better your chances are gaining a following. Facebook is pretty much the KING of social networks so every now and then you should tweet a link to your Facebook page and get people to like it.

4. Tweet about what's going on in the news but only if it's interesting. Soon as you tweet something, it's almost gone and buried within all the other tweets from other users. You have to stand out and one of the best ways of doing that is posting news. I usually visit Google News, find something interesting that's going on and I tweet it. If it involves celebrities then it's even better.

5. Tweet motivational quotes. Some people on Twitter make posts about nonsense than nobody cares about. This is another way for you to stand out by tweeting something that's motivational. We all need inspiration and someone reading a tweet that contains an inspiring quote will definitely get people to check out your profile.

6. When someone follows you, send them a message and thank them. If you want to follow them back then that's your choice. Avoid putting any links in your message and don't use any automated software. That will get your account suspended.

Just Do It!

I know that is Nike's well-known slogan but to honest I couldn't think of a better title. I have a habit of just rushing into things. I like to discover the unknown because that's where all the possibilities are. Procrastination is the number reason why most people fail at anything because they never start to begin with.

Procrastination is pretty much the fear of trying out new things. If you have already done it before then it wouldn't be much of a big deal. But if it's something totally new, most people would just say to themselves that they are going to do this and do that but never get around to it. We like to put things off for the next day but why put off for then when you can just do it now? The sooner you start a project, the sooner you know where it's going.

Don't wait until tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. Don't make silly New Years' resolutions. Whatever it is you want to start, start NOW! Don't worry about how you are going to do it. The "how" is already taken care off. Once you start doing, the "hows" generally fall into place. Of course everything is not going to turn out the way you would want. But if you don't do it now then how are you ever going to find out if it does?

Think of it this way. If you don't do it now, someone else may beat you to it. And you wouldn't like that very much. What if you had an idea that nobody else had and someone else came out with the same idea and you say "well that was MY IDEA!". Yes. Exactly. But you know what happened? You didn't ACT on that idea so the idea came from somebody else. It's ACTION that takes the cake. Many people like to talk about their ideas but never do anything with them. You must do something and you must do it NOW!

Internet Marketing Addiction

I have a confession to make. I am an addict. I am totally addicted to internet marketing. I just can't stop. Even if I wanted to stop, it will be extremely hard to kick the habit. Everybody has some sort of addiction. Some people are addicted to drugs, sex, cigarettes, alcohol, video games, shopping, food, whatever. I am addicted to my business. And it's not because I'm greedy. I have enough money. I just love what I do and I love it when other people love what I do. That's the main thing that keeps me hooked.

In order to be successful at anything, whatever you want to achieve in life, you must have a craving for it. A burning desire. That desire turns into action and action on a regular basis turns into a habit. Once you form the habit then you have an addiction. So everyday you need that "fix". My fix is pretty much posting on my blog, tweeting, and posting on Facebook. Most people tweet and post on Facebook a bunch of nonsense. I know I'm being a little harsh here but it's true. If you're going to be on Twitter and Facebook all day, everyday, you might as well make something of yourself and build some sort of brand.

Look at people like Oprah and Jay-Z. Those two names aren't just regular names. They are brands! And they didn't get where they're at now by doing nothing. Whatever they did to get to the top, it was their addiction that got them there.

Get Your Product Out There

There is always more than one way of doing something. The more ways to get your product or service out to the public, the more opportunities you have of success. Sure some ways may be more beneficial than others, but if you get a customer here and there from those other sources than why not keep on using them? When you are into internet marketing, you realize that it's not only the product that has to be enticing, you must have traffic. Without traffic, your product or service is pretty much non-existent.

When it comes down to it, it really doesn't matter what you are promoting. You can have the best tasting burger in the world but if nobody knows about it, it's useless. You must get it out there and when I say "out there" I mean using whatever means possible to make sure people actually see what you have to offer.

I'm addicted to internet marketing because of all the possibilities that come with it. I can spend all day not only using the sources that I already have but also discovering new ones. If I can find more free ways to promote my business the better. Remember the rock band KISS? They were more than just some rock band. They were a BRAND! They had put their logo on everything you can think of and became one of the biggest franchises in the whole world. In business you need that same mentality to have your prospects take your product more seriously and stay ahead of your competitors. My model is if it works, use it. Then find something else that works, then something else, then something else.

It's Better To Give Than To Recieve

We are living in a world where most people are waking up everyday figuring out how they are going to pay for this and pay for that and how they are going to make the money to pay for it. Money is an essential thing we all need to have to survive. But money is not the end-all, be-all. This way of thinking has caused millions of people to enter the rat race and they are still running and not getting anywhere.

Out of all the people that are chasing the dollar, how many people actually give away money? I love giving. In fact, giving money away assures my being that I have enough and I can give. Some people don't like to give money away to homeless beggars and say "well why won't he just get a job like the rest of us?" I'm a hard working individual and I'm no better than anybody. When you give, you get back a whole lot more. It's a law of the universe. Whatever you do to people, the same will happen to you. How To Cope With Having A Bad Day

Let's face it. We all have days that are not so good. Some days are so good that you don't ever want them to end. And we know that when you are having a day that is just absolutely perfect, the next day is going to be just the opposite. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do for a living or how much money you make, you are going to have days that are full of annoyances and it seems that nothing is turning out right and going your way.

One thing you must do in these circumstances is try not to lose your cool. Even though it may feel like the best thing to do at the moment, consequences of your actions can be ugly. There is an old saying that life is 10% crap and 90% how you react to it. When you are running a business, it is always helpful to have some kind of positive outlet to let off steam. Going to the gym and working out can be a good idea. Or you can just go out for a long walk. Or you can go on YouTube and watch some comedy stand up like I do. But whatever you do, don't lose your cool and try to keep a positive mental attitude. Nobody is perfect but it doesn't hurt to try.

The Time Is Now

If there ever was a time to pursue a career in internet marketing, now would definitely be it. Every day more and more people are getting laid off their jobs or they are quitting or getting fired. I know. I've been there. I had every type of job you can possibly think of. Well, not EVERY type of job but you get my drift. Out of all the jobs that I had in my life I can honestly say that maybe one or two of them I was really happy with. The rest of them was just a job and it was just a paycheck that I received every week or two.

All over the world, the economy is getting a whole lot worse. Especially in the United States. There are barely any jobs and the ones that are available are the ones that require a special skill. If you are a construction worker, mover, landscaper, etc., you will never run out of work because everyone needs people like them. If you are lucky enough to get a regular job, you have no idea how long you will keep it. Plus you will be on pins and needles and walking on egg shells trying to keep that job as long as you can while at the same time wishing you had won the lottery. I mean EVERYONE wants to win the lottery. Even me. I admit it would be nice for me to win a multi-million jackpot. But I don't play the lottery and I don't gamble. I'd rather invest my money into my own business. At least I know that I'm getting a return.

I absolutely love getting free traffic. Some may say that free traffic isn't really free because you have to pay with your time and effort. I personally don't mind paying for traffic in that sense because I love what I do. But it's better to do that instead of spending all that money on PPC (pay per click) and Facebook ads.

One of the best ways to get 100% free targeted traffic is posting on message boards. Whatever niche you may be in, there are plenty of message boards that you can register with. You must find the top two or three relating to your niche. It's free to join and all you have to do is create a profile with a signature linking to your website and introduce yourself. Get in the habit of posting quality content that will be useful for the board's members. You can sign in everyday and make one or two posts. If members like what you post, you will get tons of traffic to your site. And the most important thing about it is that it's targeted.

One of the best ways to get traffic from Google is with SEO which is search engine optimization. When someone is searching on Google for something using specific keywords, for example: How to make money with Facebook, your website should appear on the first page of search results. That is, if you have a website promoting a product that explains making money with Facebook.

In order to have your website on the first page of Google, your website should first be indexed. And the fastest way to have your website indexed by Google is having a Google Plus page. Google Plus was first created as a social network to compete with Facebook. Facebook now is the number one social network in the world with the most users and visitors. Even though Facebook can help you rank higher in Google search, Google Plus will almost instantly rank your website on the first page and the more plus ones you have, the higher your website is ranked.

The Future Of Internet Marketing

When I started doing internet marketing a few years ago, I never thought that I'd be doing the things that I'm doing right now. When I first began my journey I admit that I was quite lazy. I didn't want to write articles. I didn't want to tweet, post on Facebook and actually work at my success. I was always looking for that magic button to push so I can just kick back and watch all that money roll in.

It took me a long time and a lot of money to realize that there isn't a magic button. They don't exist. I learned that in order to be successful at anything, you have to work at it. Many people that start internet marketing make the mistake of undertaking various projects all at the same time and wondering why they're not getting the results they have hoped for. When I first started internet marketing, I took on more than one project hoping that the big bucks would instantly roll in. I have bought product after product and spent so much time and money doing all these things at once and had nothing to show for it. The main cause for this was information overload.

I then decided to just focus on only one thing and when that happened I finally made my first sale. After that I decided to make that one project expand and that's where quality comes in. The First Time Making Money Online

Six years ago it was a dream for me to make money online. When I first started internet marketing I knew that I was going to be successful at it. I just didn't know exactly when. I also found out that it wasn't that easy and I tried many products until I found something that actually worked.

When you make your sale, you will change. Not only what you will do for a living but your mindset as well. You will literally have the mind to accomplish anything you want and will think more like an entrepreneur. Making money online to me now is great but it's nothing like my first time.

Thank God It's Friday, Again

Fridays to most people is the day that you get your paycheck and it's right before the weekend so you have money to go shopping on your days off. But to an internet marketer, Friday is just another day, no better or worse than the other days because for internet marketers, EVERYDAY is Friday.

Most people hate Mondays because it's the first work day of the week. I absolutely love Mondays. I don't get paid for my time, I get paid for my efforts. And getting paid for effort allows me to work at my own pace. Every day I am allowed to work at my own pace. I can take breaks whenever and as long as I want. I can go shopping on any day at anytime. But I'm not much of a shopper anyway but you get my drift.

These are just some of the perks that come with internet marketing. For most people, Monday comes around and they have to be at a job they usually don't like. They work all week and they can't wait until Friday. Friday comes and everyone is happy until Monday comes back. For internet marketers, everyday is exactly the same. Everyday is Friday and we're always happy because of the freedom that we have.

What Does It Take To Be An Internet Marketer?

In order to be successful at internet marketing or at anything you set your mind to, you must these three attributes. I call these attributes "The Three D's". Without the three D's, it will be impossible for you to reach success, let alone climb the ladder of it.

Many people jump right in the opportunity of internet marketing thinking they're going to make thousands of dollars overnight because they probably read some sales page full of hype. Most of them give up at the first sight of failure and they're left to believe that the whole internet marketing thing is just one big lie. But the truth is, no matter what you aspire to be successful at, it won't happen without these three things.

So what are the three D's? Well the first one is DESIRE. Whatever it is that you want, you have to want it really bad. You must think, breathe, eat and sleep it. Without desire for whatever it is that you want, you won't have the second D which is DRIVE. Drive is that engine of motivation to help you achieve your goals. You must never quit under any circumstance. It's the ability to keep going even if you don't feel like it. And the third D is DILIGENCE. You have to work at it and you have to work hard. Nothing is easy and who wants nothing? There are no shortcuts to success and there is no magic button for sale that you can just push and watch the money roll in. Just look at all the people in the world who achieved great success. They ALL had the Desire, the Drive and the Diligence to make it happen.

Is Affiliate Marketing Dead?

In the world of internet marketing, most people that just get started not knowing what to do are attracted to being an affiliate. When you are an affiliate, you don't have to worry about building a website, hosting and other complex things that come with marketing a product. You don't even need a product of your own. You have the choice to promote someone else's product and earn a commission. Sounds easy huh? Well, not really.

Every couple of years or so, the internet marketing world goes through changes. And when changes come then things evolve. Old tactics seem not to work anymore and one must learn new ways to promote a product. This has caused a lot of pressure for affiliates and they end up giving up.

You Only Fail When You Quit

There has been a long time popular statement that says "winners never quit and quitters never win." If you don't believe that then look at all of the people of the past that achieve miraclous goals. And all of those people had to "fail" many times before they actually won.

Michael Jordan is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time and he missed many shots. It took Thomas Edison 10,000 times before his invention of the light bulb. Abraham Lincoln "failed" various times before he actually became president of the United States. I can go on and on with certain examples but the fact is that you will never get it right the first time. EVER!

I myself have "failed" many times when I first started internet marketing. I bought product after product promising me a pot of gold with a click of a magic button. I spent so much money on scams and I have been fooled time and time again. But I didn't quit. I knew I was going to be successful at internet marketing. I didn't give up so really I didn't fail. When I made my first $20 online a few years ago, I had accomplished something that I never did before but always wanted to do. My goal was to make money online and I did it. I have "failed" various times before it happened but if I had let my "failures" get the best of me, this blog that you are now reading wouldn't even exist. I would've gave up a very long time ago and probably went on to some other dream. But if you think about it, if you have a quitting state of mind, it doesn't matter what you set to accomplish. You're just going to quit as soon as you fall down.

The only time you really fail is when you quit. There are always going to be roadblocks on whatever path you choose to success. There are no "get-rich-quick" schemes and if there are then I can bet you that it's not legit and can have you in some trouble sooner or later. Whatever it is that you want to be, whatever your dream may be, you must prepare yourself for setbacks because they are inevitable. Life is always going to throw monkey wrenches at you while you are pursuing your dream. If making a dream come true is that easy then everyone would do it. But in the real world, it's not really about the destination, it's about the journey. The journey is what makes you strong enough to handle the success. The journey is what shows you what you're made of and you were made to be a winner, not a quitter!

4. The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Champion, Think Big & Kick Ass, Trump 101: The Way To Success, Trump: How To Get Rich by Donald Trump

All these books are essential reading because they are all written by one of the country's well known billionaires. Do I really have to say more?

5. Why We Want You To Be Rich by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki

This book is a joint venture written by two very successful businessmen that not only have written their own books but both are very successful in real estate. Although I am not into real estate myself, the main point of this book is to show readers that the world is changing fast, the dollar is dropping and prices are going up. 3% of this country owns 97% of all the wealth and we need more rich people to balance things out.

6. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

One of the most popular books written about the Law of Attraction. The rich have always known this secret but kept it hidden from the world. With this book, you will have the power to achieve whatever goal you have in mind because it's really all in the mind.

Internet Marketing vs. Real Job

I have had jobs since I was old enough to work. I probably have done it all. You name it, I did it. There is nothing wrong with having a job. We need people that work in the professions that they choose. The day I got laid off was the day I decided to have my own business.

I didn't have the entrepreneur mindset that I have now. Over the past five years I had to develop that frame of mind. I read books by Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump and T. Harv Eker. I also read books about the law of attraction and when you combine the two concepts, you end up believing that you are already rich.

I am not a millionaire yet but I will get there soon enough. But it's not about the money. It's about doing the work that you love and that's the secret to true happiness. Plus it's not really "work" if you love what you're doing.

So how does internet marketing differ than having a job? Well the main thing is freedom. I don't have to get up at a certain time and rush to work and worry about being late. I don't have a boss telling me what to do. I don't have to deal with the annoyance of co-workers and I can take a break whenever I want. I don't get paid for my time. I get paid for my efforts. I have no limit to the amount of money I make instead of getting a paycheck of the same amount every two weeks.

Again, I'm not saying that being an employee is bad or inferior to being self employed. But having a job in my opinion is not all that secure. You really don't know how long you're going to have that job. Especially in this economy. People are losing their jobs more in this day and age than ever before. But as long as the internet is around, you can make enough money to not only cover your expenses but to enjoy the luxuries of life. There are more people now that shop online than people who actually shop in stores so there is plenty of money to be made online.

My Internet Marketing Journey

I started my journey to internet marketing success six years ago. The economy just plummeted and I got laid off my job. I lost my apartment and ended up living in a motel for a couple of weeks.

One night I went out to a nightclub just to ease my worries away. When I returned I noticed that I had left the television on and there was an infomercial with so much glamour. I didn't give up. This is what I wanted to do. I wanted to be successful and I wanted to do it with internet marketing. Since then I have spent so much money on products that didn't work.
