Is Affiliate Marketing Dead?

In the world of internet marketing, most people that just get started not knowing what to do are attracted to being an affiliate. When you are an affiliate, you don't have to worry about building a website, hosting and other complex things that come with marketing a product. You don't even need a product of your own. You have the choice to promote someone else's product and earn a commission. Sounds easy huh? Well, not really.

Every couple of years or so, the internet marketing world goes through changes. And when changes come then things evolve. Old tactics seem not to work anymore and one must learn new ways to promote a product. This has caused a lot of pressure for affiliates and they end up giving up.

The main reason why affiliates quit is because of information overload. They jump from one product to the next and while they are jumping, money just keeps falling out of their pockets. Even though internet marketing goes through its changes, there are ways to be successful with it that never change. The sad thing is that most affiliates want the easy way out and fall for the get-rich-quick scams instead of sticking with something that actually works and always will work.
